Yoga, Pilates, Mindful Movement & Ageless Grace Brain Exercises
Our gentle yoga classes are for anyone! Reduce stress and find relaxation through easy, gentle postures, breathing techniques and restorative poses. We regularly offer special events including Candlelight Yoga, Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga. Our mat Pilates class is a total body workout that anyone can do. All movement begins with the core so finding balance and control will help everyone move better and feel better with less risk of injury. We use various tools including stability balls, bands, weighted toning balls, fitness circles, small core balls and weights.
Mindful movement classes bring awareness to our posture and our movement patterns, bringing in movement on all planes and directions. We work on underused, muscle groups, use various training styles to bring mobility and flexibility to our movements and gain strength. For mindfulness of movement, we bring in aspects of QiGong, Yoga, Bellyfit and Pilates. This class great for beginners, anyone wanting to improve posture and mobility, those returning from being away from exercise and those who want a gentler, more mindful way of exercising.
Ageless Grace is a movement class that exercises the body and the brain through specific movements to affect the brain’s neuroplasticity. The exercises can be done in a chair or standing. The class is designed for everyone wanting to improve their brain and body health including those with dementia, MS, Parkinson’s, arthritis and other chronic conditions.
